Community Recording Studio

The BBC's DIY SOS team requested if we’d take part in a Social Value Project aiming to re-develop the Community Recording Studio, Nottingham as part of their next planned "Big Build". Initially, we were asked to utilise our expertise in the redesign of a new effective heating system. As the Project developed, we additionally provided further support to the Project in proposing fabric improvements to the building, and producing coordinated layouts for new lighting, small power, mechanical ventilation, hot & cold-water systems and the like throughout the whole building. The Project had progressed deep into design development until, unfortunately, due to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID Pandemic, the decision was taken to place the Project on hold until further notice.
