Meets the operational energy target of the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge

An Oscar worthy performance!

The 13,915 ft² 4-screen Everyman Cinema is located opposite the Corn Exchange building, facing onto Exchange Square, which is one of the most attractive public squares in Lincoln’s city centre.

This three-storey cinema with a rooftop bar was designed following ‘fabric first’ principles with optimized U-values in order to reduce the energy demand within the building, minimize heat losses and promote a cost-efficient building.
Furthermore, we proposed a thermal bridge free design to further increase the energy efficiency of the building.

With all of this, we were able to achieve an EPC rating of ‘B’ and meet the operational energy target of the RIBA 2030 Challenge!

In addition, we also revised the design so that it would comply with the current building regulations.
